Most realistic test books for ACT?

I have been doing McGraw Hill 2010 and have been scoring pretty high. A bit surprised at myself, science I have been 30-32 where on the real test I scored a 26. But I'm happy. Is this book known to be easier than actual tests though?

I also picked up Princeton Review 2009 and 2010. Are these realistic and a good test prep book that mimics the difficulty of a real ACT?

So please tell me how McGraw and PR prac tests compare to the real thing. And if they are too easy/hard then what is the best book to do practice tests from?

I used McGraw Hill…and I found it to be extremely accurate…the first time I took the test I didn’t really study and received a 31 (26 english, 34 math, 31 reading, 32 science)…I used the McGraw Hill 10 Practice Test edition and ran through 6 of them for the english in particular, and I gradually went from 26 to 29, which was my last practice test. The day of the test (June 2011) I received a 30 on the actual test for english, which I was completely elated about…the other scores went up also…which was a little weird, because I felt like I did better the first time…but on an overall note, I really thought the McGraw Hill one was good, but I used the conversion chart from the red book to find out my scores…hope this helps =)

I’ve never tried McGraw Hill but I think the popular opinion on CC is that their tests are easier than the actual thing.

PR practice tests are a BIT harder but still realistic. The difference for me is really only by one or two points on math and science. Otherwise, it’s fairly realistic.

Why not use The Real ACT Prep Guide? You can’t get more realistic than actual ACT test questions.

Only things at my library are McGraw and PR it seems. I don’t want to spend money for any of the prep books to be honest. Good to hear McGraw is somewhat similar, if not easier a little which I assumed. And I will give myself a challenge with the PR tests then if they are known to be a bit harder.

Mcgraw Hill is definately the worst. Those ten tests are cupcake compared to the actual thing. The passages are shorter(reading) their questions arent as drawn out (math) and they have 3rd grade science…PR and Kaplan are probably the best…with Kaplan being the harder of the two, but those two also have mistakes in them…oneof the six of my kaplan tests for the math section only had 4 answer choice per question (5 choices for reg math on ACT) I was averaging a 34-35 on Mcgraw Hill and now Im at a more realistic 31-32 with Kaplan/PR
