Most touching poem, song, or except that evoked your feelings?

This may not be the most emotional song for me, but I just began listening to it.

It's called River, by Joni Mitchell.

Beautiful voice, extremely sad lyrics;

"Im selfish and Im sad
Now Ive gone and lost the best baby
That I ever had
Oh I wish I had a river
I could skate away on"

That's just tragic, and the song's placed during Christmas time, of all times.

Coincidentally, another touching song is The River, by the Boss.

Sad song about lost opportunities, disillusionment, tragic love.

**es ain't * - as covered by Ben Folds

haha not exactly inspiration but its great

but really...

make your own kind of music - mama cass
beautiful - carole king
theres always someone cooler than you - ben folds

A couple covers by Nanci Griffith

Tecumseh Valley (written by Townes Van Zandt)
Boots of Spanish Leather (written by Bob Dylan)

Don't stop believing- Journey

^^You must have loved the Sopranos ending. :)

I'm waiting for it to come out on DVD, damn HBO.
