I saw SUNY Albany on the list for the most unhappy students in the US..however I am still interested in visiting and getting a feel for it myself, possibly talking to students there. Does anyone currently attend, has anyone attended, or know people who have attended that could agree/disagree with this?

Where did you find this list?

Have to agree the campus and the students attending just seem to have such an unhappy vibe about them… I am trying to transfer out, but it seems as though transferring might be too expensive : /…good luck

@ScrewSat - here is the link to the list: [Colleges With The LEAST HAPPY Students (PHOTOS)](<a href=“Colleges With The LEAST HAPPY Students (PHOTOS) | HuffPost College”>Colleges With The LEAST HAPPY Students (PHOTOS) | HuffPost College)

@bbr00ney that’s very helpful, maybe I’ll save myself a 4 hour drive

I am currently attending UAlbany and I have no idea why this school is on that list to begin with. This is an excellent school and everyone here I have met including the faculty, staff, and other students have been beyond friendly.

With an article like that, unfortunately most of the stats and info comes from people complaining. I can only assume these are the same kids that stay locked in their rooms at night, don’t get involved, and have very few friends.

Overall this is a great school. But you HAVE to get involved. If you sit around and do nothing then you will be bored and complain. If you attend UAlbany you need to get involved, join clubs, meet people, and have fun. It’s all about what you make of it.
