Moved to the US sophomore year?

<p>I heard about colleges being a bit forgiving about grades and EC's for freshmen year since freshmen are getting used to the high school environment and exploring their interests. </p>

<p>I moved to the US my sophomore year so, does the same apply to my sophomore year? I looked for things I enjoyed and went to different clubs, but I'll start most of my EC's junior year. Will this hurt me?</p>

<p>It won’t hurt you. Schools will take into consideration the fact that your ECs may be different. Also, some high schools in the US start in 10th grade, so those students also will have fewer years of hs-level ECs.</p>
