Ask him point-blank but say it with some discretion and cautiousness to not suggest that you're seriously considering pursuing somewhat of a relationship with him. Make it a point of confusion rather than an opening to explain whatever feelings you might have. This puts your in a position of being hurt much more than you should be. Has he flirted with you before? Does he want a relationship? Does he consider you a 'really good friend'? How do you feel towards him? I would think nothing of it but if you must, ask him casually.</p>
