Can anyone tell me the merits of whether one degree is better than the other?

I want to go into an MS Business program, but I'm worried that an MBA will just be better in the long run. The MS Business has been said to be an MBA-lite program.

A few schools offer MS Business. These programs are for those without extensive work experience. These programs often teaches the core MBA courses, which allows those who do not have business background to switch into business career field. However, the crux of the MBA experience isn’t really in the classroom. It’s more about interactions with classmates and participation in co-curricular activities.

The job placement for MS Business at even the elite programs such as Duke’s (Fuqua) MMS is similar to those at a 2nd/3rd tier MBA schools or top-tier BBA school (Wharton, Sloan, McCombs) - consulting, banking, marketing (all at undergrad level roles).

You’ll be treated like an undergrad recruit. That could be okay.

Look at what companies hire out of the program you’re considering at what level. That’ll tell you what you need to know.
