Hi,

I am recent UCLA graduate with a BS in EE. I am planning on going to graduate school. I have got into both cal poly SLO and SJSU for a masters in EE.

I am having a very difficult time choosing between both. Both schools seem to have good programs.

SJSU: I love the location. It is right next to Silicon Valley. I feel like it will be a very exciting place to be as well as a great place to make the right connections. However, it is a little more expensive than SLO. Furthermore, I feel like the quality of education at SJSU is a little low compared to SLO.

SLO: I do not really like the location (midway between LA and SF, a little far from both). I feel like this will make it harder for me to network and make the right connections. However, the program is only one year. Furthermore, the tuition is a little cheaper than SJSU, and just going for one year will drastically cut down on the amount of loans I will need to take. Also, I feel the quality of education here is excellent.

I would love to hear peoples' inputs esp from those who have gone to either school for a masters. Its pretty hard to find discussion about the masters program for both schools, so any input will be much appreciated.
