@artskids oh! I just realized you are a BW mom! Has your S liked it there? Do you have any tips or insights we should know? I just know that my D loved the atmosphere, and all the kids she met there. Also, I just read my previous post . Sorry for mistakes… did not read it back
Congrats @musicmama123!!! Can’t say enough about my Ds first year experience at BW! Excited about the development of the Acting BFA as well!
@musicmama123 My S has been very happy at BW. He has gotten very solid training and has had wonderful experiences - both on the college stage and elsewhere. He and a number of his classmates will be working at equity theaters this summer (and into the fall) so they will end their college years with equity points. They are crazy busy - but I have not read a thread about any BFA MT or Acting program where the kids are not crazy busy. He is still in the Honors program but it remains to be seen if they will continue through senior year. Other than the Honors program requirements, his social life and extracurricular activities are generally conservatory-focused (e.g., he participates in a number of other students’ recitals - either as a performer or in a tech capacity - and has done a number of outside concerts for his voice teacher and music director). He also choreographs the musical for a local HS and has done some choreography work for his former PA HS. I am not sure he will be in able to do any of those gigs, though, senior year! Feel free to PM with any specific questions or ask them in the BW threads. There are lots of BW moms here!
Thanks Deelight and Artskids! She is very excited. I found a resume she had done as an assignment for an economics class before auditions had started, and it said Graduate of Baldwin Wallace! It had been her first choice! Lol! She is on line with the kids, and when she went prom dress shopping yesterday she kept sending pictures out asking which one? When I asked her who was she sending these pictures to, she said My BW friends! The more I look into the curriculum the more I feel it’s perfect for her. Hopefully I will meet you this year Artskids! Thanks for all your help
