Thank you all! My daughter is thrilled! It is nice to know she has that acceptance going into all of her other auditions.

My D has a friend that has been accepted to U of Michigan MT, a few that have been denied, a few that have been deferred and some that have not heard anything. Is it a bad thing for those who haven’t received any news yet? Does this mean they are most likely not being considered, or are they still in the running for a spot?

When did your D’s friend audition violeteyes?

Sorry to be so late in getting back to you. Her friend auditioned at Unifieds in Chicago. Since Friday was Michigan’s last day of auditions, do you think the kids that are deferred will hear as early as this week?

Does anyone know who makes the acceptance calls? Is it the admissions office or is it Professor Wagner or someone else in the MT faculty?

Last year my son was called by Laura Hoffman, Assistant Dean for Admissions, School of Music, Dance, Theatre, and Musical Theatre.

Does anyone know how many have been accepted?

As of Friday, 12 had been accepted. Plan is to have class of 22. They will accept 22 and have wait list.

Any recent Michigan news on acceptances/rejections?

i was sent an email (last monday) saying that while they couldn’t make a decision then, due to this past weekend’s audition date, my decision is postponed until later in the month, but i’m still under consideration for the program… hoping this is good news somehow?

Received my acceptance call today after being on hold!

Fantastic! congratulations. I guess there’s a bit of hope for those still waiting.

do you think they are done with all their calls?

Check your status online at wolverine access. Thats how we initially found out on the evening of the 17th of our daughters acceptance to the program. We also got an email on the morning of the 19th, but we never got the phone call.
Good Luck!
