I’ve successfully applied and been accepted in the MTAP program, and I’m now working on my transfer application. I know MTAP does not guarantee acceptance into Limited Enrollment Programs, like engineering (my major). However, I can’t figure out the specifics of that. If I have already completed the gateway classes for the Clark school, am I now guaranteed to be able to transfer in as an engineering major (if I get into UMD, which… MTAP!) or am I merely eligible for consideration?
Per Clark School FAQ’s for transfers, “ If you are an external applicant currently completing the admission requirements (gateway) but will have them completed by the time you start at University of Maryland, College Park, you can request that Office of Undergraduate Admissions re-review your final transcript for engineering once your grades are in for the gateway requirements.”
