hey guys, does anyone else like to go to concerts? I'm seeing ray lamontagne on the 31st at rumsey playfield with brandi carlile! I can't wait!

My D is hardcore for the music scene and raves, when time and money allows.

i will be attending nyu in the fall, but as a new york native, ive been into the brooklyn indie music scene for about 2 years now. i’ll be seeing animal collective, washed out, twin sister, and hopefully more this summer.

My son LOVES music and he loves playing with his band. It is serious competition for his school work. Not sure if it is good nor bad. I think it is good because it is a genuine love of his.

While he puts together gigs with his band, he has the great fortune of taking in a lot of music, hehe, from our generation because hubby loves going to live concerts. Jazz at Lincoln Center, one time with Eric Clapton, Chicory, the Beatles - Paul and Ringo, Bruce Springsteen (multiple times), Bob Dylan, John Beck, etc. He just missed Paul Simon with us because of his busy schedule.

He is now into more contemporary music and his band is working to appeal to the younger generation. Music is a tremendous part of why sonny loves NYC and NYU.

You are all lucky to have everything in NY at your doorsteps.

As great as it is (NYC), it is also it’s downfall, TOO MANY distractions. It has been the demise of some good students at NYU.

My daughter also has been into the indie music scene in Brooklyn as well, and often.
