<p>Thank you. Do I have to be admitted to Stony Brook University FIRST before I am admitted to the music department? If I audition before I receive notification of admission to Stony Brook, will a favorable audtion be considered during my admisssion decision process?</p>

<p>Well, yes and no. We’ll likely make an academic decision first, but then you’ll still need to go through the audition process to get into the music major.</p>
