I want to submit music portfolio to schools that accept one, but most schools accept only performance and/or composition. I used to play a lot of classical piano pieces (and still occasionally do), but my music kind of moved on from performance to production. But as far as I know schools don’t accept music portfolios for electronically produced music. I can still submit composition and performance portfolios that can reflect what I can do but I also want to submit my electronic music production since it’s a big part of my hobbies, how can I do this?
The general rule is to not submit an arts supplement unless it is of truly outstanding (conservatory type level) quality. Admissions officers are swamped and are not looking for proof of activities/hobbies.
If you have something of that quality that you want to submit look for instructions online or contact admissions to ask if they accept music supplements and, if so, what is the preferred format.
