Thanks to everyone! After seeing what you had to say, and contacting some admissions counselors, we decided to go ahead with the course. Given that his high school does not offer a comparable class, and that he is primarily a vocalist with good piano skills, we felt it would be worth the cost. He is in a class with only two other students, both instrumentalists. After the first class he admitted to being behind their level. I am thrilled to report that after three sessions, he tells us that he has already learned a lot and feels more confident about entering and feeling competent in a challenging music department. All great news! Thanks once again to all of you!
One more note: I swear College Confidential (on this forum and others) has been as beneficial to us as ParentsPlace was when we began with our son. God bless you all!
