<p>What types of music organizations does the USAFA have other than a marching band that allows clarinets to play? And, i’ve been playing the clarinet from 5th-10th grade and i am in the symphonic band, should I definetly stick with it 11th and 12th? The thing is my band teacher gives almost everyone B’s or B+'s…it’s almost impossible to get an A… so band might bring my GPA down. Will colleges and the academy overlook that?</p>

<p>It’s a hard decision… Either have my GPA drop but have music on my transcript, or not have music but have an extra AP class or 2 electives…</p>

<p>gglock -- your music grade isn't going to make any difference. An A in music doesn't really help you and a B won't hurt you either. Pls believe me. Do well on the important subjects -- they really count -- and enjoy your music! Also, start a band at the academy with Benjo6 and eeeee (or was it tegan) that are also musicians</p>
