Musical Theater Schools with good dance programs

@PaperTrope to answer your question about Texas State U…As I understand it, they have developed a specialized training for the very advanced tapper and the uniquely skilled contemporary street/urban dancer (hiphoping, locking, break dancing, etc) they have a multi leveled curriculum and opportunities for advancement in those fields. Which apparently makes them somewhat unique. Others may know more about this than I do, and certainly speak up. Pace does address this style in their contemporary dance degree but not in MT as far as I know. And again, this is 2nd hand.

I do not know about more traditonal ballet, etc, but I would guess they have a solid foundation there as well. The original dance curriculum was developed by Robin Lewis who is now the head of MT dance at Rider U

Thank you for sharing @Notmath1.

NYU TISCH New Studio on Broadway. Can’t speak for the other studios. My D is a classically trained ballerina with 17 years of training at two preprofessional ballet companies. At NSB, the students are placed in dance level by audition. Freshman year she had two ballet classes and one contemporary. Sophomore year - Five dance classes a week this year. Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Tango, and Brazilian Dance/Martial Arts. Hope this helps. Strong program with no complaints from my picky ballerina D.

Absolutelynot true. D had to audition to be placed in dance class at New Studio on Broadway. Excellent Dance program.
