@All4FSU works at FSU and is very knowledgeable and helpful on all things Florida State. My S was admitted to FSU and they did grant him a waiver which resulted in almost the equivalent of in-state tuition, I believe.
@Rocketwoman37
I am the Director of Academic & Student Services for the School of Theatre at FSU, so Iām pretty biased when it comes to what the program is like (LOL) but if you contact me directly, Iād be glad to put you in touch with a couple of students who can answer your questions. We encourage them to be frank about the good, the bad and the ugly, as it were.
As for the waiver; every out-of-state student admitted to MT receives a waiver of 50% of the out-of-state portion of the tuition for talent. Some will receive 100% waiver for exceptional academics. In addition, there is departmental scholarship money awarded on a year-by-year basis; the amounts vary. As MTDadandProud stated above, we try to get it as close to in state as we can.
Please donāt hesitate to ask questions- I donāt check this Forum every day and I donāt always get the email notifications, so if I donāt respond, email me directly.

@All4FSU Are you still accepting applications? Will you be at LA Unifieds?
@NeensMom
Music Theatre only has auditions on campus (BFA Acting attends Unifieds) and we are fully booked for this year.
