Musicianship Placement Exam?

<p>Has anyone here heard anything about this exam? I'm interested in pursuing music, and I do have some experience with music theory and stuff, but I'm still intimidated by this exam. The online description is sort of vague, so I was hoping someone here could describe better what the applicant is required to do. Also, say I can't sight-sing. Will I fail or does this just place me in the lowest music classes?</p>

<p>If I remember correctly, here's what the music placement exam is: it consists of three parts.</p>

<p>It takes place the weekend before semester starts, and it takes almost all day. The first part is musicianship, the second part is sight-singing, and the third part is harmony. So you can pass out of/qualify for classes in those three categories. I might be a bit off base, but that's generally how it goes.</p>
