My CC has the most annyoing morons

We’re not arguing anymore dude lol. We’re just talking about life like cool kids do. I bet Rick Astley does it.

word

(the bird is the word!)

[YouTube - Peter Griffin - Surfin Bird](http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C0FrBChFCeA)

i see you answered your own question…

yes of course, although can an ideology be really free, unless its put in practice. we cant fully understand its dynamics unless we experience it ourselves. its certainly a noble ideology for i would certainly partake in it myself, but the difficulty of it is its not always how we imagine it. lets say arguing over the net is the ideology while doing it in public is the practice, do you see my point? i hope im making sense lol…

as for the link…at least come up with your own material…

You raise a fine point, having simply read my depiction of this ideology might make it seem quite alienating or hard to do in practice. I assure you though, the freedom is definitely there. It’s not some kind of absolute ruling where “thou shalt follow no ideology!” It’s much more fluid than that.

This isn’t about answering the question of “how can I logically live most freely?” That’s a logical question, and very alienating from life. This is a question of “How can I live in the most emotionally fulfilling way possible? How can I live to the fullest extent? How can I find meaning in such an absurd thing called life?” It’s really a matter of personal experience like you said, know what I mean? The ideology itself is just a guideline, just a general idea.

It’s next to impossible to explain really. I just know it feels super sweet most of the times.

of course, what is freedom without fluidity…

trying to figure those questions will limit your ability to enjoy life as it is, its not a problem to answer…though freedom as the majority sees it, seems to be tainted…

i see your point, though as a guideline, wouldnt it limit our freedom?

its awesome not to worry about material crap…

You just struck the heart of the problem, that people aren’t free. They don’t even feel all that free do they? Do we not all feel somewhat constrained in our daily life? Does it not all get kind of irritatingly dry at times?

Not attempting to even reflect on these questions can be very problematic, at least it was for me. I just kind of rode through high school not caring about any of this ****, as if I was being washed around by the ocean waves. It wasn’t exactly free, it was terrible really.

Addressing these questions doesn’t mean we have to utilize dry philosophical inquiries heavily reliant on rational and logical means. All we gotta do is look at our lives for a bit and see what the hell is up. See if we’re all that fulfilled.

The question that usually works is “if someone wrote a book about your life, would you read it?” A philosopher asked a similar hypothetical question “If a powerful demon were to tell you that you had to live your life exactly the same way you have lived it over and over again, would you be terrified?”

It’s really a test of how much you love life.

now that was a lot of material I didn’t read…lol

stop trying to act intelligent, no one cares

but if you wrote something that was intelligent, I hope you feel good about yourself

:):(:)

It’s not meant to be intelligent, existentialism was never meant to be intelligent in the traditional sense. It’s not even rational really, it’s highly emotional.

Plus, who invited you into the conversation? I was talking to Iamlegendary. (I’m joking if you can’t tell.)

you’re right, too bad this isn’t a forum or anything

Come on it was a joke, I was only teasing. you’re the one that started rick rolling people and posting up family guy. :D

alright alright…but the bird is the word

“existentialism was never meant to be intelligent in the traditional sense.”

pseudo-intellectual says what?

pinker, you stepped into your own paradox, amigo. :)

I didn’t get to read the opposing arguments, but trust that pinker’s intellectual/sexual prowess will dominate. haha.

My cc’s pretty chill, just the smokers and lame freshies just outta high school who sometimes play in the hallways. . . In junior college. Thats pretty annoying.

getting this thread back on topic

BTW, anyone check this out:

ComradeD,
hence my calling it 13th grade. :)

High School w/ cigarettes.

god this is why i hate philosophy (sorry philosophy majors!). it’s like the energizer bunny. but I am impressed with k and p’s arguments regardless. If you guys end up attending UCLA, and I get in, I hope to run into you sometime and see if your verbal skills match your writing ones… that sounded kind of lewd…

phil majors, what is the most challenging class you have to take?

btw, phil majors: what are your career goals?

Are you being serious?

And yes I am pre-law.

lol, I changed it…i took a look and the only difficult one’s were upper div ones

(but, phil classes *are *generally easier than most others in other disciplines)
