Hi yall.
I’m a rising senior and I was wondering what are my chances for Emory and Tufts. (I hope I make it into Duke, but that sounds nonsense considering my spec)
UW GPA 3.9
W GPA 4.18
(A for regular is 4, honors 4.5, and AP 5)
AP exam scores
U.S. history - 5
Bio - 5
Physics1 - 4
ACT with writing
First attempt
English 25
Math 30
Reading 27
Science 33
Writing 6
Composite score 29
Second attempt
English 35
Math 31
Reading 26
Science 34
Writing 7
Composite score 32

I’m planning on taking ACT for the third as well as SAT bio and physics.
Now the thing is, I do not have ANY EXTRA CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES (I got first place in school science fair in my junior year, but I don’t think that really counts) due to my medical condition. I had a brain tumor and now my pituitary gland is gone, making me get lethargic very easily. I did not have enough energy to participate in any club activities or internships after school, as I was barely managing to stay awake. I slept 3 hours straight after reaching home and spent the rest of my time studying my butt off for all the honors and AP classes. (Sure, I’ve seen other guys handling 7 AP courses at once, but 3 AP was the absolute max for me) I got mostly As and A minuses throughout high school and am planning to take 3 additional APs next year. Most of the teachers understood my situation, and one of them actually nominated me for some kind of school award for diligence since I was putting every efforts to make up for my frequent absences. I wish the colleges would understand this as well when they examine my application, but having no ECs would appear very unattractive in my resume. Would I have any chance being admitted to either Emory or Tufts? Those even seem to be slightly out of reach, but I still want to give them a shot. I would appreciate any feed backs. Thank you.
