My chances at my top choices?

Hi, I am a sophomore right now but I have my whole high school future mapped out. I wanted to know my chances at my top choices for colleges.

My top choices are: Harvard, UChicago, UPenn, UMN, Duke, WashU-St. Louis, Duke.

I know, I know, very top notch schools (except UMN) but I just want to know what types of SAT/ACT Scores I need and if I am missing anything from my resume to have the best chances on getting into these schools. I just want a discussion of what my chances are, what my current resume looks like, and what I need to add/change, etc. Thank you.

Here is my current stuff/grade years I did-plan on doing/etc: (I know some stuff is weaker than the other stuff.)

Volunteer Hours at the library and the hospital: about 100 so far. (Grades 9-12)

Concert Band (Section Leader and Vice President), Pep Band, Jazz Band (Auditioned) (Grades 9-12)

House League Basketball, Club Basketball (Grades 9-12) (Not on any school teams)

Public Forum Debate (Varsity Letter) (Grades 10-12) (Captain)
Novice Year Highlights: Novice State Championship, many first places at weekly city-wide tournaments, third-alternate for national qualifying as novices(first-year debaters)

International Extemporaneous Speaking (Varsity Letter) (Grades 10-12) (Captain)
Novice Year Highlights: Many placements including some first places at weekly city-wide tournaments, second-alternate for national qualifying as novice(first-year speaker)
May possibly win the section for state and compete in the state tournament

Things that will be added next year:

National Honor Society
Link Crew
Congress-Style Debate
Thinking of some-sort of "big" thing that greatly improves the quality/atmosphere of the community/school
More success in debate/speech in the coming years

Classes Taken/Plan to take:
Band (Grades 9-12)
French 1, 2, 3, AP French
Honors English 9, Honor English 10, AP English Lang, AP English Lit
Honors Physical Sciences, Honors Biology, AP Chemistry, AP Physics B
Honors Geometry, Honors Algebra 2, Honors Pre-Calc, AP Calc BC
Honors US History, AP US History, AP World History, AP Microeconomics, Possibly AP Government or AP Macroeconomics

This is basically the hardest schedule I can take if I want to keep my foreign language and band.

GPA: unweighted 4.0 as of now. MAY go down to 3.99 after this year. Makes big impact?
Class rank: top 1%

I plan on doing good in all of the classes I take. I will be taking the SAT Subject test for MOST of the classes (math, biology, chemistry, us history, world history, etc). I expect 5's and maybe one or two 4's on my AP exams.

What type of SAT/ACT scores would I need to get into my colleges? What do I need to add/change in my qualifications? Thank you. If you need any more information to make a better judgement, please do ask.

Volunteer hours and random leadership positions really don’t mean much. Obviously any good application has this stuff, but the main thing that distinguishes an Ivy League app is awards. So keep working on those debate awards, and get a couple other national/statewide distinctions in what you’re interested in.

Preferably, you’d get a 34+. I think you’ll be okay with a 32, but you may as well aim high. I don’t know SATs extremely well, but a 2200+ is necessary. SAT IIs (start planning out which ones to take now!) should be in the 700 range. Message me if you wanna know more, I don’t feel like typing out all this now but I’d like to help.

Do you know what you want to major in? If pre-med, you absolutely need to start looking at places to do lab work over the summer at as soon as possible. It’s necessary nowadays to spend your summer doing lab stuff if you want to go pre-med.

I want to major in biotech/biochem, and then medical school. So would another debate state championship in addition to the novice state championship be much more effective? And does captain of both speech and debate team really not matter?

Also, would these colleges of my choice really care between an unweighted 3.99 and a 4.0? Basically just one or two A-'s

Anyone know SAT scores?

Harvard is probably hardest.

UChicago and WashU are easier?

and UMN is easy?

BUMP. Hello?

2200 plus…

Is money an issue? UNM, if it’s your state school, may well be your best option.

Money is not an issue. UMN is great but personally I like UChicago, Duke, UPenn, and Harvard.
