I personally think you'll only get into UDub. USC is a decent possibility, and I think WUSTL+UCB are big reaches.

thanks for the honest feedback

UCB: Reach (Engineering, out of state)

thanks flopsy. wow i didnt realize how important state residency was for uc berkeley. just looked at the stats and it is 91% in state. i dont think i will even bother applying there anymore.

UofW- In w/ room to spare. Both your GPA and SAT are above UW, and you've got decent EC's. I'm from WA too and from what I've heard and seen of UW, i think you've got a great shot. Couldn't tell you anything about the others though.

^thanks for the feedback. yeah, im pretty sure i will get accepted to UW, but i just hope i can make the honors program.

I seriously would not even consider the honors program. I too am applying to UW and have talked to several freshmen in the program. All I have gotten are consistently negative reviews - many of the students are desperately trying to get out of the program just so they can have some semblance of a college experience. From them I get a litany of complaints (and these are very high-achieving people, by the way) - everything from overwork, exhaustion, 7 hours of class a day (just like high school), lack of time for social life, and in general a schedule that is more rigorous even than many ivy league schools. In my opinion, apply to the general university, where you'll be exposed to a greater student diversity and have more opportunity to demonstrate what are clearly impressive academic talents you possess. College is the time to break free and discover your life's path through real-world exposure, not to be confined in an academic ivory tower surrounded by only the nerds and the antisocial. Good luck on your applications, and remember to keep your own interests in mind.

^ wow never even thought about it like that. i guess i'll have to talk to some people before i apply. thanks for the opinion.

what are my chances at usc?
