thanks for the input and i have looked into Maryland and im especially happy b/c they let you skip english 1 and some other classes if u have over a 700 on ur SAT's

Class rank is a funny statistic. if you look at most selective colleges an enormous percentage of the students are in the top 10%. But if you read the footnotes almost half of all students don't report a class rank because their school doesn't officially calculate one. Before you get intimidated by the high class ranks of many CC posters compare your SAT's to theirs and remember that for most of them, at this time of year, those are senior year scores.

thanks and i figured that if im not part of that 10% percent majority then im goin to take down that majority system and be the odd one out

any body else have any other opinions on the other schools or on UVA

You're a very promising student for UVA, IMO. UVA attracts many fine OOS students as well as in-state... Be sure, though, to consider schools for which you will definitely be at the top of the applicant pool, especially if you're looking for scholarships. Have you considered the state uni's in PA? PA has some strong, excellent schools, too. Best of luck to you!

Doesn't UVA ask for 2 teacher recs and a guidance counselor rec? Thats what I sent...
