My chances at Williams.

I am a international student from India and have a SAT SCORE of 1140 and 10/10 g.p.a in school.what are my chances at Williams college with financial aid or which college is most suitable for me which provides financial aid with such score??

Sorry, but a 1140 SAT is not competitive for Williams. Williams is also need-aware for international students, so needing financial aid would make your chances of admission even lower.

None of the schools that meet full need for internationals are in reach for you. You would need to look for a less selective school that provides merit aid. Look up average SAT ranges for schools and pick ones where your SAT falls in the top 25%. Try out the new College Search tool here, or on similar sites.

So , is trinity college or Colgate university good for me??

Both of those are also reaches and would not provide merit. Tell us what part of the US you prefer, size of school, intended major. There are thousands of schools, no way for anyone to provide you with options without this information. I’m not sure where you came up with Williams, Trinity, or Colgate but you need to be looking several tiers lower.

There is no crystal ball when admissions are holistic, so do not let anyone convince you not to apply to your dream school. That said, balance your college list to include choices that seem more likely to result in your being admitted and aided. May I suggest some liberal arts colleges that offer a good education and merit aid but admit a higher percentage of applicants with stats similar to yours? Check out Muhlenberg, Clark, Denison, Ursinus.

I am looking towards environmental science as a major and a good amount of financial aid for international students.

What colleges are good for the above criteria??

Thank you Thegreyking , seems Clark is a good option for me.

The major problem is your SAT scores. Honestly, you need to make a major effort to study for those and retake. If you can do much better, the entire picture changes for you. Remember that most colleges superscore the results of multiple tests.

If you want a NESCAC, I wonder if Bates or Connecticut College might be in your ball park.
