My chances for ED this fall?

Hi everyone! I visited Dartmouth a couple weeks ago and can say that for sure it is hands down the best school for me. I’m planning on applying Early Decision this fall and would like your input on how competitive I might be in the application pool. I intend on hopefully double majoring in Government (with a focus on International Relations) and Asian and Middle East Languages (Arabic+Chinese).

Basic Background Stats:

Race: White and Asian (maybe qualify as being Pacific Islander but not sure)
Geography: Small city in Wisconsin
Family Educational Background: Both parents possess graduate degrees

Testing:

ACT Composite: 32 (34 Science, 34 English, 34 Reading, 27 Math)
SAT Subject Scores: 760 Chinese, 760 Spanish, 800 US History
AP Scores Planning to Report: 5 Chinese Language, 5 Spanish Language, 5 US History

Grades and Course Load:

GPA Weighted: 4.112 (school does not have unweighted GPA but calculating it myself it came out to about a 3.89)
AP Courses Taken: AP World History, AP Chinese Language, AP Spanish Language, AP United States History, AP Biology, AP English Literature (on my transcript for next year I am taking AP French Language, AP Economics (macro+micro), AP English Language, AP Calculus BC)
Extra Info: I have taken classes in four foreign languages (Chinese, Spanish, French, and German) throughout high school and maxed out the Chinese and Spanish departments and am on track to max out the French department
Class Rank: 7 out of 215 (roughly top 3%)

Extracurriculars:
Recipient and participant in the National Security Language Initiative for Youth program (a highly competitive State Department scholarship/study abroad program awarded to high school students to study critical languages abroad, I went to China to study Chinese)
International Club President
Selected and was a participant in Badger Boys State (Wisconsin’s version of the Boys State government/leadership program run by the American Legion)
Academic Decathlon Team Captain
Model United Nations
NHS Club Member
Forensics Club
French Honor Society and Spanish Honor Society

Any input given would be amazing as I truly am pretty ignorant when it comes to what exactly Dartmouth might be looking for in a Government (IR focus) or language major. Any sort of advice, suggestions, or comments would be immensely appreciated!!!

Solid EC’s, subject tests, ok gpa. I would take the ACT or SAT again just to be safe, shoot for 1500+ sat of a 33-34 ACT. You are close

Try and bump maths up to 30 if possible if you redo, I’m not sure if they super score. If you do that you’ll stand up well against competition, make sure your essays are focused on your passion, and prove to them through ECs how passionate you are. It is still very competitive so you’ll always need an element of luck, so…
Good luck!

Raw GPA is not as important as class rank - 96% of the incoming class (2021) was in the top 10%. So, you are competitive.

32 on the ACT is below average (which was 33). Average SAT was 1495.

For the SAT, Dartmouth takes the highest section scores regardless of test date. ACT is the highest composite score.

You are a solid candidate, but your ECs and your ACT score could be improved. Apply ED, write some great essays, and build your application around your passion for IR or foreign language.

The deal with ur act is that they might not ‘superscore’ but if you show strengths in different sections on different tests, they won’t hold it against you. If you try another act and do better on the parts you needed to improve on, but still score say a 32, they won’t see it as ‘weak’. Good Luck!
