Whoever thinks that a 1570 is a low score and should be retaken not only has a warped view, but is doing a disservice by offering such wrong advice. An admissions officer will be irritated, not pleased, that a student retook the SAT for a thirty point increase.

Why not Carnegie Mellon?

Zipzoop: I think I feel about the same as you with my chances. I always regarded Cornell as more selective than Chicago but I was just interested in Chicago's biology program and I haven't followed up on it yet. And yes, I meant Boston University.

Film: I think people were talking about my SAT II scores (and maybe SAT writing section), which are low for Harvard.

Typist: I thought about it and I was going to visit it after I visited UPenn until I found out Carnegie Mellon is 5 hours away. I'm stuck in the scale of Rhode Island and didn't realize Pennsylvania was that big haha. I don't want to overapply but it is a good suggestion.

Hmm...well thanks everyone! I think I got enough feedback for one person so only post if you have something important. If you need something from me just PM me (hopefully I would check it). Thanks again.
