My chances of Georgetown school of foreign service

<p>Hi, My heart and soul is set on Georgetown's Edmund A. Walsh School of Foreign Service. I am a Mexican-American (both parents born and raised there), I speak fluent Spanish, English, and after five years of this, French. I am currently taking Italian and i am teaching myself Arabic. I love languages, as you can tell.</p>

<p>I have a GPA (unweighted) of 3.5 out of 4.0, I have four AP courses this year, AP French, AP Spanish, AP Lit and Com, AP US Gov't and i took AP Psych junior year. I am in the NHS, SCA, secreatary of class, and tons of other clubs. I volunteer at the free clinic as a translator to the hispanic patients, and I volunteer at my church(catholic) as the choir director(aprox. 100+hrs) . I've been in music since fifth grade, and I play alto sax, piano, and guitar.</p>

<p>my SAT scores weren't good but i'm retaking them and on top of that the ACT's and the SAT Subject exams Spanish, French, and US History. </p>

<p>You’re thinking of writing your SFS essay in French? I’m not sure that would fly even if you were applying to their Foreign Language and Linguistics (FLL) department, since you’re being evaluated by adcoms, not professors.</p>

<p>definitely do not write in french. although i get your trying to show your skill at the language, admission officers are not professors like the other person said. and its hard to tell you your chances without scores and what you have done in high school</p>

<p>SFS is as hard to get into as Harvard and Wharton are. I can’t imagine they take many students that are under 1400 SAT and not in the top 5% of their HS graduating class. But you never know!</p>
