My chances of getting into UPENN

So, I am a junior and I've been looking into what colleges I want to go to and so far I have found great interest in UPENN

This school is very high in academics status and very low in acceptance rate. Based on my academic status:

I have all A's and B's on my report card except I got two C's during sophomore year. I just received my first semester grades for junior year and I have four A's and 3 B's. My GPA as of the end of last year was a 3.88, but before I finish my junior year and start mu senior year next year I plan to get it up to a 3.98/4.0. I was in mg classes during freshman year, one AP class and two honors classes during sophomore year, one AP class and one honor class right and I plan to take 2 AP classes and 2 Honor classes in my senior year. I have been taking practice SAT tests and my highest scores were 2010 and 2090 and I plan to take the real test on January 26th. I am not involved in clubs in my school but I am extensively involved in music/community service programs outside of school about 4 days out of the week.

What are my chances of getting UPENN?? What do I have to do to have a greater chance of getting in???

PLEASE I NEED IMMEDIATE ADVICE!!!!

Low chances, most of us are top 1-5% of our class, no B’s and no C’s. Most of us are extensively involved in one to three activities, and SAT’s are 2200+. I took 6 honors courses and 1 AP Junior year. If your school only allows you to take X amount of advanced classes, like mine does with AP, that is understandable. The B’s and C’s, the low SAT, and little extracurricular involvement will hurt your chances.

Good luck, and if you’re serious about Penn work your ass off.

What Schools would you recommend with what i have now??

Your not a slug. You have very good stats. Two pieces of advice:

Apply to wherever you want to go without regard to what your odds are.

There are many excellent schools where your stats make you competitive. Check those schools out too.

Write stellar essays. When all else fails, this is what can save you. Good luck

Thanks for the advice texasian and Madaboutx =]. i’m definitely going to work harder these last two years of HS I have.
