My chances

Hi I am new to this board, and basically came to get a realistic view of my chances-am i setting my sights to high or just about right.

First a little backround information. I go to a small public school, in a small town, with many students having little academic asperations at all. I have taken all the AP's my school just now started to offer, but that was before I took my classes seriously. I was very bored to begin with and wasnt motivated or challenged. I have always been, however, interested in astro and particle physics, and have done little but study this topic, no camps etc. The last 2 years however I have gotten straight A's in my classes and been puruing my intrest by getting a job to purchase a nice telescope, and I am determined to get into a good physics school and make this my career. I feel however that being in the wrong group during highschool, although not gettin me into drugs, has kept me from doing my HW etc. and only recently have I matured. I am now beyond motivated, and know I will do good in college. There is always the transfer too, but anyways here it is

GPA 3.6 unwiehgted
Rank 50 somthing out of 201
Have only taken my SAT once( i wasnt serious at all and have taken my SAT and subject tests and the ACT during football)

33 on ACT reataking low score on math (33)
2000 on sat (800M. 570 W**, 630)

Good essay, lacking grammer, At this point my years of not knowing any english rules caught my eye so the next week I met up with my english teacher and borreowed her book on grammer, the next week and I got a 35 on my ACT english. Hopefully I can improve my next ACT.

Just took all three subject test

the rest are ok. im sorry to be such a down but thats it realistically. good luck!!

So whats a good physics school i can go to... i wish i wouldave been more motivated but hopefully i can at least get into a good school for physics, anyone know

What i mean is... whats the quality of schools i should be looking for.. im really lost
