My chances?

3.53 W GPA, 1690 SAT, 300+ SSL Hours, SGA officer, Work in all theatre productions, got recruited by Muhlenberg for Cross Country and Track, Have a job, President and Secretary of a few clubs, editor for the school newspaper, applied ED. Have visited 3 times and have done 1 overnight. Does being of Asian decent help you?

I visited muhlenberg, and I honestly saw only one person who was not of caucasian descent. My tour guide happened to be from Indonesia or Malaysia? (I think?) but other than that, they are severely lacking in diversity. I think being Asian actually can help you here. You’re in the average GPA range I believe. The SAT is a little lower, but if you were recruited for two sports, that will definitely give a boost.

SpecialSushi, have you heard anything yet?
The only thing that may hurt is your SAT, which I think may be a little low but you never know what admissions is looking for during a particular year. If you were recruited by Muhlenberg, didn’t they tell you anything when you went and met the coaches?
My friend’s dd was recruited for soccer, not at Muhlenberg, and she basically knew she would be going to the college even though her SAT was so lacking and very low.
She is there on a FULL ride including dorms.

The school is SAT optional, BTW, although you have to have an interview if you go that route.

I highly recommend doing an interview (can also be done over the phone) even if your GPA and SAT grades seem to be in range. Muhlenberg places extra value on those students that show strong interest. They track every contact…visits, emails, auditions, etc.

yeah, no need for you to submit SATs i think all they require is for you to do an interview instead
