My chances.

I am a junior at the moment and am yet to take the SAT's so I suppose I don't have all the information you may need. I have this question though:

When I was in 9th grade I had a brain tumor removed, I missed two weeks of school afterward, and came back to attend only several classes a day for a month or so until I felt well enough to go the whole day.

If memory serves me right I only had one B at the end of freshman year and the rest of my grades were A's.

In 10th grade I got a C in Algebra 2 Honors the second semester, and I also got a C in Pre-Calculus the first semester of this year.

I have been going through days filled with migraines since after my surgery, been on many different medications to help (but none really have), and I think that those could have to do with my faltering grades.

My GPA is around 3.5 right now. I took AP World History last year and this year I take AP US History, AP Biology, and AP English. Next year I'll take at least three AP's.

I'm in honor societies, and I volunteer and what have you. My question is how much colleges will mind my C's because of my situation?

I'm very ambitious, but I don't plan on applying to any Ivy League schools. What do my chances sound like to, perhaps, a prestigious liberal arts school with a major in psychology?

Congratulations on overcoming a very difficult situation. I bet you can turn that adversity into a an excellent essay, and you will certainly have the opportunity to attend an excellent LAC, maybe not of the Williams/Amherst variety, but I really believe that you will be able to go someplace excellent.
