My Chances?

I'm going to be a senior this coming fall and I really want to go to Vanderbilt University. I feel like my stats are pretty strong, but I'm still a little worried about getting in. I want to major in possibly math and biology while following a premed track. Any help would be much appreciated. My current stats are:

GPA: 4.55
Rank: 9/682
Classes: Mostly Honors and AP courses. Next year I'm gonna be taking 6 AP's
SAT's: CR- 630, Math- 800, Writing- 670
Extracurriculars: 3 years on school Academic Quiz Team, 3 years in Math Club including officer position, 3 years in Student Government, and I play Ultimate Frisbee
Honors/Awards: several math awards, junior engineering team award, and several other school honors
Summer Activities: Attended two National Math Competitions with my school, participated in a 5 week medical internship at the University of Cincinnati School of Medicine
Community Service: over a hundred hours of volunteering service at local hospital

Again any help would be much appreciated. Also, does Vanderbilt have a quota of students they accept from each school? Thanks!

You have good grades and class rank but the standardized scores hurt you. The school has around a 25% admit rate which is bad for you. Your CR is below the 25% while your math is above the 75%. All that being said, I would say it depends on your ECs and essay which are all very important for the admission decision according to the CDS.

yeah, my sat scores are what make me worry. i’m gonna retake them and hopefully raise my reading score. hopefully the admission officers don’t put too much weight on standardized test scores because i feel like my school record and ec’s are impressive. and thanks for the feedback, erin’s dad
