<p>You sound like an above average applicant for UVM (I’m in the same boat as you). The great thing about UVM is that is surprisingly a great school. That’s something you wouldn’t expect from a school in vermont with an over 70% acceptance rate.
I’m applying there as a safety school because it’s a school that I’ll probably get into <em>and</em> it actually offers the education I want. It’s not a safety school I’d have to “settle for”, but rather “choose”.
I would try taking the SATs though. It’s always good to take both the ACTs and SATs if you can.</p>
