can I major in something else ?

Chemical maybe?

This is a question you should discuss with academic advisors at your college.

The current Senior VP of ExxonMobil is A Chemical Engineer from WPI. He started at Exxon in a variety of managerial positions in Exxon refineries. He also has an MBA from Drexel. See http://corporate.exxonmobil.com/en/company/about-us/management/michael-j-dolan

Ok. I have to ask if you wanted to study PE why are you at this college? Chem E is probably a strong second choice.

As others have said, Chem E is likely the route you would want to take. I had 2 Chem E roommates at my college who co-op’ed and eventually worked full time at Exxon.
