and, thats all i can think of right now.

i'm aiming for columbia, cornell, johns hopkins. any comments?

I do think that you might have taken the sat 2 a little early. Your gpa is good but we can't give the best estimations without an SAT score up here. Best of luck in the following two years, and hopefully you will end up where you want!

Chances threads should never be posted w/o SAT scores. It's kind of pointless if one were to have a 4.0 GPA unweighted and get a 1900 SAT :( (just an example)

I don't think SATs matter that much anymore. Your gpa and ECs look good and if the classes your taking are rigorous then I think they care more about your performance in the classroom while balancing other things.
Don't worry so much now your in good shape. Just keep up your grades and get prepare well for the SATs 1900 loks good (believe me it is waaaay better than mine was) As a junior next year work on becoming a leader in an organization. One thing I remember talking to admissions officers was that they not only liked seeing you involved but they like to see leaders. So just don't do things to put on your application. Make them personal to you and to what you want to pursue in college.

That's all you should worry about as a junior. Senior year you can worry about having a good essay, they say that can always change an application. It gives them their best impression of YOU, better than a gpa or SAT score

Also remember that the people that got into cornell already on college confidential are not the admissions officers. We're not entirely reliable because we don't even know how we got in. One of us may have a 1650 SAT, but maybe got in because they have an A average while being All-State in basketball. Another probably got in because their essay was so insightful that they thought they would fit nicely majoring in Journalism at Cornell. I know some that were rejected with a flawless application. All you can count on is making your application best for you and then it is out of your hands.

of course sat scores matter, they compare you to everyone else semi-accurately - instead of a gpa which could mean 2 completely different things to 2 different people from 2 different schools. But yes outside things from gpa and SATs do matter a great deal.
