My Dad didn't file his 2014 tax

My dad have cancer so due to that he didn’t work but got money from the government (very few). So how do I fill out my FAFSA form if he didn’t fill out his tax? How do I fill out FAFSA so they would not rule me out for not having in the tax?

Thanks in advance!

It sounds like your dad did not need to file, so you’d indicate that in the right place on FAFSA. There’s a choice that says something like “Will not file”.

Are you an immigrant? Is English your second language?

English is my 2nd lang. I am a US citizen. I came over to the US when I was 6
Do I click “No” on “Do you want to skip the remaining questions about your and your father’s income and assets?” to provide them with more info?

@kelsmom Can you respond?

No, you should click “Yes” on that question. Assuming OP entered all the information correctly, he/she may be qualify for “Auto Zero EFC”

Is you dad required to file a tax return? He might still need to fill since he did receive some government benefits. Also, you can also file a return even if you are not require to. This can make the verification process easier.

The current 2016-17 FAFSA requires 2015 income, not 2014.
