Its spelled by the way Fenris Columbia not colombia see how it feels.

Your case does not prove that. No one could reasonably say that you had no chance; they merely said that your chance was very low (and there is no reason to think otherwise).

Nonetheless, congratulations on your acceptance and good luck to your brother.

Thanks good like to you and MIT

Columbia09: I was at work when i typed it. If you look at my other iterations of Columbia, you’ll notice that I spelled it right. I didn’t exactly have the luxury of fixing mistakes. The keys are pretty much next to each other as well. The keyboard matters. Work keyboard blows.

Also, it’s great if you’re in Columbia. Your grammar and spelling sort of suck, but that’s really not the issue. I don’t care if you got it or not; you asked for a chance with the stats you gave us and we gave you a legitimate response.

Where do you go to school if you dont mind me asking?

I go to UCSD. finished my units this year so I went to Taipei for an internship. I’m here for six months and the time difference is GMT +8 I believe. that’s the reason I respond so late/early. Anyway, I need to head off to work now

ok keep in touch

Is this a joke, where is ashton kutcher? I think we have all been punk’d

high high high reach. sorry.

Almost a 0% chance of getting in unless you get recruited.

Actually I have a 25% chance of getting in. A new thing just came into the equation that will change the admissions process for me.

No its not a joke. Will see next week. I hope all you doubters go to columbia so I could prove you wrong.

We’ll, typo as most of this was

Wait are you talking about your brother having a 25% chance of getting in now…?

Ok it’s me applying to Columbia. My stats changed since nearly a year ago.

Top 24% is not that good for iveys. Most iveys have a pitifully low percentage of students not in the top 10%.

Well the decisions come out the 9th I just have to sit in and…pray.

No response for a year, safe to say OP got rejected

To be realistic, Columbia requires not a super genius, but an outstanding character instead. You need to separate yourself from the other applicants, but in order to do so, you need to fit in first.

a girl in my school (class of 2011), was ranked 4 in her grade, about a 2200 on her SATs, outstanding ECs, played about 4 instruments and etc… she had a stellar resume, but she got rejected. (not even an interview!)

That’s why your chances kind of seem slim, you dont seem to separate yourself from the rest of the crowd.

What colleges did you get into?
