I just wrote an essay mainly about going out to picture a lake scene in winter. I provide details on how I overcome the slushy snow after a heavy rain in order to capture the lake....some other paragraphs also talks about my passion for photography..but the lake story is kinda of the main melody.

I heard that many ppl say writing about overcoming difficulties is the most cliche and old fashioned essay prompts....I just sit down and recall wut happen and start to write....at the end I find this problem...any advice?? should I try to use another story or shorten my original story and add more about how I think of photography?????
