You people have obviously not read Twilight.

Yep, I don’t intend to either.

I would also like to add Night to my list of selections.

I am the Cheese, anyone?

Who moved my cheese?

I AM the cheese. What about you?

I’d say, A Tree Grows In Brooklyn or The Kite Runner.

@thenextbigthing Wow, I could not STAND Holden Caulfield. The whole book, I just wanted to scream “YOU’RE a phony, you stupid HYPOCRITE!!”

^So basically you’re just like him?

Probably. I think EVERY high schooler is like Holden to some extent, but he just takes it to a whole new level of vexatiousness lol…

^^ I bet the exact words were “Holden, you goddam phony!”

“Holden, you goddamn phony. You depress the hell out of me. You really do.”

^ That killed you, I expect

I really love Robinson Crusoe and I’ve read it multiple times since I was in elementary school.
A great portion of The Interpretation of Dreams is fascinating.
The Scarlet Letter is awesome, especially the part describing the lightning.
Utopia and Republic are both great.
The Metamorphosis and Anna Karenina are sad but memorable.
I will probably like more in the future.

^ Thomas More’s Utopia?

^Yep. Have you read it?

No haha, but I read part of Erasmus’ *Moriae Encomium/i, which was dedicated to More, for a report I did on Desiderius Erasmus Roterodamus

^I haven’t read that book, and I have never had a chance to do a report on Erasmus.

I love The Count of Monte Cristo, too.

I hate those survival books like Robinson Crusoe and Swiss Family Robinson. “I had heard that whale tongue was a delicacy, so I decided to roast it” “I had heard snake was considered a delicacy, so I decided to roast it” “I had heard monkey was a delicacy, so I decided to roast it” "I had heard …

^ Melville actually wrote one of those type of books, and it was relatively decent.

I enjoyed the part of the Republic where Plato mocks Homer’s “understanding” of all things. Like how to build catapults, how warriors eat, that type of minutiae.

And then he says Homer should be banned, which seems a little extreme.

I find it hard to believe Melville wrote anything decent.

Favorite Books:
Twilight Series (1-3) : What?It is by-far the most addicting series ever. Two and a half years and I’m still obsessed.

Harry Potter Series: Well-written, intruiging, EPIC

Maximum Ride Series: It went downhill after the first two books, but I love the concept, nevertheless.

Gone With the Wind: I only know of one other person who likes this book as much as I do. I read it in 7th grade so my sense of judgement may have changed throughtout the years. But I still like the story.

Pride and Prejudice

Least Favorite Books:

I only have one: Breaking Dawn. Just…no.
