My Financial Aid Package - Please help!

I have a question regarding my financial aid package. Please note that I was recently admitted to Princeton's Class of 2016. I used the Bill Estimator on Princeton's website. After putting in my Total financial aid ( Princeton grant + Student self- help aid) I got a credit balance of around $1000. In the terms of my financial aid package, it is also clearly stated that Princeton covers the cost of one round trip for international students (approx. $2000) but the sum is not paid directly to students. It is credited to their student accounts. So apparently, I will get a credit balance of around $3000. I will be extremely grateful if sb could please tell me whether Princeton will pay me the total credit sum to help cover other educational expenses(..Please note that books expenses arent included in the student bill) and travel costs?
In short, what exactly happens if a student account shows a credit balance?

Thanks so much!

At the link below, on the right hand side, is another link to a “Credit Release Form.” You will need a log-in to get to it, but once you have all that, you fill out the form and submit it and can receive a check or direct deposit for the credit amount. Can’t remember exactly how long it took to get the money, but I do remember it being very quick, less than a week.

It’s always best to call the financial aid office if you have questions. The phone number is 609.258-3330.

Thanks a lot!
