My GRE and chances

<p>Hey there - I'm a student at Oxford University in the UK, and just did my GREs today.
My provisional scores were 163 in verbal, and 162 in quant.</p>

<p>I'm hoping to apply for a PhD in Economics at MIT, Boston University and McGill university in Canada - does anyone have any idea about my chances solely based on my GRE results? Or at least an estimation of what average GRE scores are like at these universities? </p>

<p>GRE alone is only a part of the file… so do you have research experience? First-class honors?</p>

<p>IMO U Toronto is perhaps a better place to look for an economics PhD than McGill unless financial issues are holding you back from that school…</p>
