My lights not as bright, but its sunny outside

On the subjuct of Ivy league schools (not just Princeton, but you guys rock the most socks off, Im guessing)

I love california and do not plan to leave it, yet the ivies are the end all and be all of high academic reputation.

What schools (if any) in california still have that same (or close to the same) sparkling reputation, yet are over here by my ocean and still will allow me my fun in the sun?

USC?
UCLA?

Please help, for I do not know.

Stanford, Caltech, UCB

They are all pretty darn good schools.

And keep in mind, just because a school is in a certain sports league, it is not automatically the greatest school.

Stanford is considered on par with Harvard, Yale, Princeton, and MIT. Caltech, for science and math fields, is also in the very top tier. Berkeley is a top-ranked graduate school, but its undergraduate program (for good reason) is not as prestigious.

My goodness! 51 views and only two people want to help me?! Alrite, thats fine. Stanford, wonderful. Fun supplement, that school. UCB, me friend goes there and loves it. Definetely applying. Caltech, big NO. There is only so much genius a girl can handle. Not that I am not fond of intellect (in fact it is quite high on the List Of Things That Sparkle) also, they do not have my major (I think). Sports teams, not I reason I like to pick schools. With very few exceptions. Anyway, thank you boys(?) for your help. I do wish you luck during the admissions process.

Note: sparkling- anything positive, happy, good (not literal)

Do note that you posted this on the Princeton form, which automatically limits the number of people who can or will answer.

As an aside, I strongly recommend you consider Pomona College and Claremont McKenna College. Pomona, especially, is just as selective as Dartmouth. They also sound like good fits.
