My school exam percentage fell .... how would this affect me?

In my 11th grade, I had a percentage of 94%, amongst the top 10 in a class of 200 .... this fell to 89.4% in my first exams of grade 12 , due to computer science which is not exactly my subject ..... so I am now in around the top 15-25 ...... I am in the Indian curriculum , just so you guys know. I should be able to haggle for another 3 to 4 marks , making it a clean 90% so I would be able to place in the top 15 - 20 ish.
I have a SAT score of 2280 (730,760,790) and 790 in SAT chem and 800 in SAT maths 2. I have a toefl score of 115 , and I have around 4 awards at the international level ( MUN, scrabble , Essay writing , Debate) , and I am a member of my school student council as well as accomplisher of other small achievements.
I am looking at colleges like MIT and Stanford, or of that calibre
I want to major MechEng, so I know computers is not very important , and my physics , chem and math scores are still very high ... but how does this drop affect me in the circumstances of my resume?

Bump for some help?

Negatively, you always want to try to raise your GPA.

As a foreign student, are colleges privy to the trends in GPA increase and decrease in my school? Most of my school students did worse than normal, but I dont know if colleges will know that .

So you are in (or finished) 12th grade? Are you going to take a gap year?
This post does not make sense at all.

OKay, so our indian curriculum follows a different schedule. I am currently in school , but my school year ends in march 2014 ( 12th grade that is) , and we have a long break till august before college. So my first set of 12th grade exams just got over. I will be entering college in fall 2014.

Also to clarify something further, I know for a fact that our curriculum is fairly similar to the AP curriculum , and i will be writing the AP in may , so the course is also kind of rigorous . And on checking, I am in the top 12th of my graduating class so i managed to maintain my position.

So, you are an international student?
It seems your academic year is like in Japan.
In that case, your downward trend in GPA is not a good sign for you. What is your class rank? For MIT and Stanford, you got to be the top of the tops. However, there is a different system for admitting international students. You are likely competing with your country man.

Closest i can put my class rank is top 15 of my year. However, i missed a huge part of this year due to international muns and my student council elections, and i am more active in ecs than all the students in my year.
