My situation is not permanent.

I’m 22 years old and I’ll be graduating from college with my B.A. in a few months. In my field, there aren’t really any jobs I can get right away that pay a ton. I’ll have to start with a lower-paying job and work my way up towards a higher-paying job. The thing is, the jobs I’ll start out with won’t pay enough for me to support myself. Therefore, I’ll probably be living with my parents for at-least a year after I’ve graduated and they’ll be financially supporting me during that time as well.

Now here’s the thing. This will not be a permanent situation. It will only last between 1 and 2 years. So for those of you who say that I should be supporting myself, I will, but just not right away. So, is it normal for someone from an upper middle class family to still be financially dependent on their parents for 2 years after graduating from college?

Oh my goodness. Even though you have a new username, you should still be able to find the responses to this question when you wrote it the last two times. “Is it normal?” No, asking the same question over and over again is not normal.

@wastewhite - What is your end game here? Why are you continually asking the same question? You’ve already gotten plenty of answers, so I just don’t understand the repetition.

This is kind of weird. IMO this thread should be merged or locked lol

Am I missing something here? Are there 2 tier pay scales where the offspring of upper middle class parents are entitled to “jobs that pays a ton” fresh out of college?
