Is there a difference between dual degree and double major?

I was interested in a double major because of the AP credits that I have taken. Assuming I get 4/5 on all my APs this year and senior year I will come out with 11 credits. I am interested engineering/info systems along with finance. Any recommendations?

I think dual degree refers to obtaining to different degrees, such as a Bachelor of Arts and a Bachelor of Science. Double major refers to majoring in two different areas within the same overall degree, such as History and Political Science.

i think:

dual degree involves getting two different degrees...BA and BS for example
dual major involves getting one degree with two majors, usually through a program that in some way connects them (this is harvard's policy)
double major - single degree -two majors, can be completely unrelated.

confidential--UPenn has the M&T(management and technology) program; Lehigh has the IBE (integrated business and engineering) program; each combine an engineering and a business discipline. You should look into these
