Hi All,

I'm an alumnus of Harvard College and want to provide a better perspective on my experience: good and bad. Looking back, there were many things I could have done to take advantage of the opportunity. I would like to share my perspective with students and parents. I am open to take any questions you may have on how to get the most out of the college experience at Harvard or any other school.

Ah… do you think people are just going to come to you with questions? If you have an experience to share, feel free to post the pros and cons on your Harvard experience. Not sure you are qualified because you went to Harvard to tell others how to “get the most out of the college experience… at any other school”, though.

Hi intparent. Thanks for the response. Not at all. I was actually inspired by the USC thread that was recently posted and which has a very similar opening post. I can only really speak to my experience, whether at Harvard or generally in college- which is what i was trying to get at. To give you some color…the great thing about Harvard is that you are given a ridiculous number of opportunities / freedom- so you can basically structure your college experience…the bad thing is that if you don’t have a plan for taking advantage of the network (or even understand its value), and know how to navigate the classes, clubs, jobs, etc. then its easy to fall through the cracks. While generally its always good to have a support network around you, I personally feel as if it is crucial for success in this particular environment. I’m not sure what people are interested in knowing specifically so the floor is open for any further questions.
