No,Actually there is a copyright violation.People dont purchase the Online Course that contains answer explanation because they find them in his forum. This may be a violation ?But then why the videos also disappeared ?

If you purchase the online course, you get the answer explanation.
I don’t see how you can purchase the course without it.

CR7_ManUtd That’s not a copyright violation. There is no copyright violation, which I had posted before you.

I hope the site will appear again. Had so much hope in it. I kind of had a superstition the site would disappear because of the attitude Mystery Tutor held against the CollegeBoard and I wanted to download the videos but took the site for granted. How much do I regret my laziness now that it’s gone!

Has anyone been able to ask the mystery tutor himself about what happened, like by e-mail or anything like that?

I just got another MT email… titled “What good comes from SAT guessing?”

Maybe the emails are automatic, but he should at least send out an email and explain what’s going on.

I’ve wrote an email to him to the address from which the mails are send out. Dunno whether the address is actually checked by him. Anyone thought the lessons are going to be charged? (The videos being marked as private and the blog too, instead of saying deleted, I mean)

I wouldnt be surprised if he charges for his services

I really enjoyed the Mystery Tutor. He was zany but good. Now I wish I had watched all of his free videos. There is an important lesson here - when you find a great site download it!

Mystery Tutor can not be gone for ever… (my opinion)

Because

Mr. E left without ever saying bye

He promised that he would always be with us at the vault

the vault says sorry for any inconvenience (im interpreting that to mean that the site will hopefully be back) why wouldent he just delete the site permenantly

I think mr. e is just going through a rough time (maby someone colse passed away)

He probably did not want to deal with legal affairs at this rough patch in his life (maby the sight is temporarily gone due to copyright laws- once he resolves that issue it will be back)

I dont think Mr. E could delete all of that info permenantly when he wanted to make this a global movement. Why would he put in so much hard work into the sites so the would all be shut down

What i think it is, is that there are some legal problems with people posting links or something and (a lot of people posted real college board questions which mr.e frogot to delete) mr. e will have to sort out those legal problems, recover from his personal (thing that caused him to disappear… hope hes ok) and then hopefully we’ll get the site back

What do you guys think?

“Due to personal and legal considerations, the Mystery Tutor resources will be unavailable indefinitely. Sorry for any inconvenience.”

Key word is “indefinitely”. It will probably be back up.

much of Mr. E’s advice is complete bull anyway. And the rest is just common sense. A better use of your time would be getting a Kaplan or Barron’s or Blue book or whatever you feel like.

people40, that’s not true at all. A lot of SAT prep books suck and Mr. E-Tutor’s advice is definitely not common sense. No one I know ever knew about the stuff Mr. E-Tutor tells you to pay attention to. I used to use Barron’s, then I found Mystery Tutor and listened to all his advice and my score shot up.

My guess is that TCB bought him out to stop distributing the secrets to their test…

@ people40

I would at least TRY something before talking crap about it. Well, actually, if you’re using Kaplan and Barron’s, you probably have no idea what you’re talking about anyways. so nvm. His advice WAS useful, though; especially what he said about the SAT standards. It helped boost my score quite a bit.

totally man, people40. i owe him a big one for boosting my score by more than 100 to 2350 from dec 08 to jan 09. does that say something about its effectiveness?

Mr. E’s site was very valuable. I would love to know what the real story is. My guess is that the ETS (ie the Evil Testing Service) is somehow involved.

I still get emails from him for some reason??

May I suggest that you not upload any videos to public sites as this could create some problems for Mystery Tutor.

Sorry, but I will probably have to refrain from uploading. There are too many complications involved. However, one solution for those seeking transcripts is to use google’s cache feature, allowing limited access to Mystery Tutor’s website.

what happened to the Mystery Tutor He was great and now he disappeared I am not very happy about that
