nagging the admission counsellor at the top schools

My friend told me that I must nag my admission counsellor , especially in the competitive schools. That's mean sending them emails with question and make them know and remember my name , so when they will browse through all the candidates they will remember me.

He used it on pepperdine, and although he had very low grades he got into their waiting list (and he was surprised, that they didn't rejected him)

Do you think it is a BS? or a smart move?

BS. All nagging admissions counselors with BS questions, etc. does is irritates them. This question has come up before, and that’s the answer.

If you have valid questions that aren’t answered on their web pages, contact them. If you have made achievements after submitting your app, contact them. Otherwise, leave them in peace to do their work.

I bet they waitlisted him just to get his hopes up, make him reject the schools that have accepted him in hopes of getting in, and then reject him. If a brat annoyed me that much I would do it.

Lies, lies, lies. Yes, ask questions if you have them but don’t pester them with useless things. The rule is that if you can find the answer on the school’s website, then there’s no reason to email the adcoms.

And no offense to your friend, but being waitlisted at Pepperdine just ain’t that spectacular. Good school though, VERY nice campus.

LOL ray192 XD

thank you all:)
