Nagoya University

Hey,
Anyone applied to nagoya University through the g30 program??
Or planning to apply? Let's discuss and stay connected

Yep! Already Registered For it!! If you have any question you can ask me :smile: . BTW I am undergraduate

Lets talk on message

I have applied for the CLC program! Glad to find someone interested in Nagoya University here! :smiley:

I applied too! Let’s keep in touch guys!

Hey, I’m considering it too. Waiting for interview.

Bro… Round 1 finished… They already gave out interviews…
If u didn’t get called u didn’t make it through round 1.
Still, contact them and get it confirmed

@adoc111‌

Nope mine’s due March 11 :))

The probem is mainly the lack of information and reviews about this program. As it is relatively new. :frowning:

@drytie123‌

Well I applied to Biosciences and when I downloaded and looked at the curriculum, it looked REALLY good. It focused on stuff you actually need to land a job and that’s always a plus. I’m sure their other programs are like this as well. Also, I’ve heard they’re most famous for Bio, Phys and Chem, Phys being their best one…

What I’m worried about is, does anyone know what % of applicants get the interview? Is it a common thing? Or is it like Waseda’s icla interview where 90% of interviewers get accepted.

Well, I applied for the school of science,departement of physics which means that I should be really interested in the program. But what’s scaring me is that we may face a problem afterwards ,upon graduation, with other universities not recognizing your work done nagoya

@drytie123‌

But why? Nagoya’s fully accredited, it must be, it’s one of the more prestigious unis in Japan. Their G30 program should be too, like all their other faculties, no? Why do you think unis will not recognize our diplomas?

@drytie123
I need to say I strongly disagree.
Nagoya University is incredibly Reputed. The research opportunities are crazy. I’ve seen the campus and it’s great. The dorms are amazing.
Nagoya Degree will be totally recognized. Don’t worry about that at all.
I’ve applied to USA and all also and the application interface is spectacular for Nagoya. The US portals for applications are a real disappointment and a pain to use

We all know about how presitigious nagoya university is. It’s just that I’m worried about this program because there are not many reviews on the web and there are no graduates yet. I think it was launched in 2011, so it is fairly new. Also the number of applicants is pretty low (around 250) for a university this size. However, I am confident that this program will be handled pretty well by the university, at least I hope :slight_smile:

Does anyone know what they ask for the fundamental and applied physics program for the Interview.
Specifically what questions… From what areas in physics? Do u know anyone who has already gone?
I have mine soon so wanted an idea

@adoc111‌

Worrying about the same thing. I mean, I already sent them my SAT and SAT Bio so, why the extra questions? I guess they’ll ask me about Cells, Genetics and Anatomy. Probly throw in a Genetics exercise…

Physics shouldn’t be too hard. They’ll probly ask you some Math stuff and give a few exercises, maybe. If you were good at HS, I wouldn’t worry too much.

@adoc111‌ well that’s the question of which we don’t know the answer. My interview is not that far either and I am pretty worried to say the least.

So I had my interview! Don’t know how it went to be honest. Most of the interview questions were academic questions. Not too tough , some basic stuff! All that’s left is to wait until the decision comes out.

@drytie123‌

Were they Math or Physics?

AND WISH U LUCK! :slight_smile:
