<p>Sometimes (at the risk of seeming a bit cynical), when celebrities get involved with social causes it's hard to know what's more important - the cause itself or the cool photo opportunities it provides. </p>

<p>This, though, seems different. While Natalie Portman may be sexy, microfinance ain't. The photo opportunities it provides - like this one at the Harvard Business School - are pretty darn dull. </p>

<p>It's the sort of cause that only someone who was a bit of a policy geek could devote herself to. </p>
